Our Vision
We envision that all children and youths growing up in East Bay region have ample opportunities to connect to nature through exploration of safe outdoor spaces.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a network of community organizations, city departments, county officials, and engaged residents committed to creating more access to nature for all as both a community and environmental health strategy. Together we will strive to provide opportunities for children to engage with nature spaces and natural materials, at community centers, schools, and at both city parks and regional parks.
Simultaneously we will provide community outreach and engagement in order to empower local families and communities to influence regional, county, and city leaders and policy makers on how to implement robust city-run children and nature programs ranging from nature based education to greening our schools and parks.
We will also advocate persistently for a comprehensive and timely urban greening plan that promotes biodiverse and native ecosystems, provides climate resilience, enhances community health, and protects our children and their futures.
